Barbara Nicke
Nuvisan, Innovation Campus Berlin, Berlin, Germany
As a biochemist and cell biologist by training working in Julian Downward’s lab at the CRUK in London, Barbara became interested in finding new targets to treat cancer as well as understanding the molecular mechanisms of function and regulation of these. Gaining from this expertise and experience especially in the field of functional genomics she then worked at BAYER AG where she was leading early drug discovery programs from target identification to lead generation. Now she is working as the head the Therapeutic Compound Research department for Nuvisan providing pharmacology support for client’s drug development projects along the entire value chain.
